Trips in Krabi for Absolutely Everyone

Some people are lucky enough to be able to travel without having to constantly think about possible accessibility restrictions, others aren’t as lucky. Travelling with a disability usually results in having to miss out on certain activities and excursions. However, more companies are trying to make sure that everyone can enjoy the experience. One of the top trips in Krabi that makes sure everyone can enjoy the beautiful Thailand waters is an island cruise.

Trips in Krabi for those with Physical Disabilities

You may have thought jumping into the sea and snorkelling is something that would never be possible for you, and you’re not alone. Many travellers believed that they would have to sit out and miss the experience of a lifetime. However, Krabi Sunset Cruises wanted to change that for those travelling in Thailand. If you’re interested in taking this cruise and need extra assistance just let the staff know beforehand. That way they can make sure they have everything they need in order to make this a wonderful day for everyone. If you’re still on the fence about whether or not they can accommodate you or someone you know, we encourage you take a look at a previous customers’ review.

In case you were wondering – prescription goggles are on hand for those who require glasses. You’ll be able to see the beautiful marine life clearly.

No matter what disability you have, it’s recommended that you prepare in advance to make sure everything goes smoothly. Remember to keep these things in mind as well when you’re booking your trip.

Novice Swimmer

To further prove that they cater to everyone, the staff make sure that novice swimmers are comfortable in the water. There are basic swimming lessons offered, so you feel more comfortable in the water. Staff and other travellers will be close by at every stop if you need help while you’re in the water. There are always life jackets, paddle boards and kayaks available if you feel more comfortable floating.

Best Value Seekers

This cruise is not only for those with physical limitations, but also for those who want the absolute best value for their travel dollars. Considering that you get an entire morning or afternoon cruise, with full access to all the gear needed for snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking, for roughly $90 USD, it works out to an amazing deal. Especially if this is one of the bigger excursions you plan on doing while in Thailand.

Booze Cruise Better in Thailand

The ultimate level of luxury and adventure while on vacation usually involves hitting the water while indulging in a bevy or two. Not only do you get to see your destination from a completely new angle, you can appreciate the marine life and get away from the overcrowded cities. There are booze cruises at almost every vacation destination you can think of… so where do you plan on going? If you haven’t already made that decision, here are some things that will likely sway you into choosing Thailand. A Thailand booze cruise will be easier on your wallet, offer some of the best views and you’ll meet some of the happiest people while on board.

Booze Cruise Views

If you thought the pictures of Thailand are incredible then just wait until you see it from the sea! A Thailand Booze cruise shows you a side of this tropical paradise that not everyone gets to see. One of the top rated cruises even allows you to explore the water at every stop. You will have some amazing scuba diving experiences with the crystal clear, turquoise waters that are filled with tropical fish. However, if you don’t want to dive into the water, lounge on the deck and soak up the sun as you enjoy a drink.

Another reason that it beats other booze cruise locations is the weather. Unlike other parts of the world, blue skies and warm temperatures are almost a guarantee during the dry season. Who wants to be stuck in side with grey skies when they could be out making memories in paradise?!

Treat Yourself

While alcohol on North American and European booze cruises is fairly expensive, Thailand offers drinks that are very affordable. Sangsom whiskey is a local spirit of choice with a very mellow taste. It’s made from sugarcane and aged in oak barrels which technically categorizes it as rum, but it’s still referred to as whiskey. The low cost means that you and your friends can enjoy some drinks without maxing out your budget. This is only one of the many popular spirits you can get into on a Thailand booze cruise.

Good vibes & Great people

Thailand lives up to being “the land of smiles”. Not only is Thailand ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world, there’s also a very relaxed outlook on life here, making it a perfect destination to kick back and relax. Mai bpen rai” is a common Thai phrase used that means “don’t mention it” or “you’re welcome”. This shows how the Thai lifestyle is simply go with the flow. The seemingly stress-free atmosphere welcomes all tourists and creates the perfect party atmosphere.

These are only some of the major points that make Thailand the top booze cruise destination. The combination of perfect weather, beautiful scenery, budget friendly drinks and good vibes will make you wish that your trip didn’t have to come to an end. A Thailand booze cruise is the perfect addition to your bucket list!

5 Thailand Facts – Krabi Island Hopping and more!

As one of the most visited countries in South East Asia, Thailand gives everyone the trip of a lifetime. But what do you really know about Thailand? Some facts (and the history behind them) have shaped Thailand into what we know it as today and you might not have known until now! Here are 5 interesting facts from walking fish to Krabi island hopping so you can get to know Thailand a little better!

1. It’s All in the Name

You probably know that Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. But did you know that Bangkok technically isn’t the full name? The real name is one of the longest names of a place in the world! Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmahasathan Amonphimanawatansathit Sakkathattiyawitsanukamprasit. It means: City of Angels, Great City of Immortals, Magnificent City of the Nine Gems, Seat of the King, City of Royal Palaces, Home of Gods Incarnate, Erected by Visvakarman at Indra’s Behest.” But you can just continue calling it Bangkok.

2. Endless Krabi Island Hopping

Sure, “endless” might seem like an exaggeration, but 1430 islands is still a lot! The best part about Thailand’s islands is that you can visit them!  Unlike some tourist places that just take you near an island, with a Krabi island hopping cruise you get to stop at some of the islands and actually explore the waters for a bit! How cool is that?!

3. Creatures of all shapes and sizes

Thailand is actually one of the world’s most diverse ecosystems, ranging from lush forests to sandy beaches. Because it’s so diverse, Thailand is home to many creatures. The bumblebee bat is the smallest mammal in the world and is found in Thailand. It’s also where the largest fish, the whale shark, can be found. But one of the most interesting animals in Thailand is a fish that can walk on land. Totally serious! Cryptotora thamicola, also known as the blind, waterfall-climbing cave fish. It uses its fins to crawl on land just like any other four legged land animal.

4. A Famous Delicacy

If you have a weak stomach you might want to skip to the next fact! The edible-nest swiftlet is a bird that got it’s name for an interesting reason… people eat their nests! The nests are made from the strands of saliva and are one of the most expensive delicacies on earth. They can sell for more than a thousand dollars!

5. Where Red Bull got it’s wings

The ever-so-popular energy drink Red Bull was inspired by Krating Daeng, a drink from Thailand that directly translates to “Red Bull”. Dietrich Mateschitz created his own version of the drink with ingredients that Western people would enjoy, and Red Bull was born.

There’s no denying that Thailand makes for a beautiful vacation destination, but there are so many other things to enjoy about Thailand that you might not even know! So whether you’re going to check out tiny the bumble bee bat actually is or see which islands are part of a Krabi island hopping cruise, keep learning about Thailand. Hopefully these interesting facts have sparked some curiosity for you to dig a little deeper!

Thailand Boat Cruise – More than Mainland

One of the top destinations on everyone’s travel bucket list is Thailand. The country has such a wide array of adventures and experiences all within a small area, so you can do and see quite a bit, even on a shorter timeline. Mainland Thailand has delicious food, unbelievable views and more for you to explore. But it doesn’t stop there. Thailand has a ridiculous number of islands that you can visit.  Not a lot of people think about getting on a boat to experience more than just the mainland. A Thailand boat cruise offers you some of the most breath taking views that you will never find elsewhere.

Mainland Thailand

When thinking about where you want to go in Thailand, you need to look at the two main regions – Northern and Southern Thailand. Even though Thailand is a smaller country (at least when compared to the United States, Australia or Canada) there are vast differences between the northern and southern regions.

Northern Thailand

Full of beautiful temples and ancient ruins, this place is for the  lovers of history and culture. There are plenty of hiking opportunities as well as animal conservations to get up close to some magnificent animals in their natural habitat. It’s not as fast-paced and busy as some tourist hot spots in Southern Thailand.

Southern Thailand

Known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters, Southern Thailand is the go-to destination for the ultimate sun worshiper. You can lounge on the beach all day or check out some of the local markets. However, because this is a popular tourist spot, it can get crowded during the peak season.

Both of these areas in Thailand are amazing, but if you’re looking for something a little different, then a visit to some of Thailand’s islands is for you!

Out at Sea

Thailand has a ridiculous number of islands! Taking a Thailand boat cruise gives you the chance to see what everyone else is missing out on! Since there are more than 1400 islands, you’ll have plenty of options. However, one thing’s for sure – they’re ALL stunning. Check some of them out here.

It’s surprising how many people don’t think to leave the mainland and explore the open waters. There are a ton of Thailand boat cruises offered and all give you the opportunity to see marine life you wouldn’t see anywhere else, get away from crowded tourist spots and take in the beauty of Thailand from a whole new angle.

Many Thailand boat cruises also have snorkelling gear on board so you can see what’s going on underwater as well. You can float around, hop in a kayak or grab a paddle board and explore the area on your own.

No matter where you chose to go in Thailand, you’re guaranteed to have an incredible trip. The mainland has so much to offer with completely different attractions in each area to suit everyone. But, if you’re looking for an entirely different experience, check out one of the many Thailand boat cruises like Krabi Sunset Cruises. You’ll be able to see some of the jaw-dropping islands surrounding this paradise while having the adventure of a lifetime!

The Best Tours – Krabi, Thailand

Everyone has a travel bucket list. It might be crazy long and well-researched or it might simply be photos you save to a travel folder while scrolling through Instagram. Either way, you know where you want to go as soon as those next holidays come up, and when you get there… it feels surreal. That moment happened for me when I landed in Thailand. It has been near the top of my travel list since I first created that document, and I wanted to see and do as much as possible! There were a few places in Thailand that were a must visit, including: Bangkok, Phuket, Ko Samui and Krabi. My last stop before returning home was in Krabi, for what I can now say was the best tour ever.

Krabi Island Tours - Phang Nga Bay

Why Thailand?

Thailand was on my travel bucket list because it always seemed to look like a make-believe paradise. The culture, the picturesque beaches, crystal clear ocean water… I could go on forever. So, if I ever got the chance to actually go to Thailand I wanted to make every second count, obviously! I wanted to see the popular beaches, walk through the local markets and taste the delicious Thai cuisine. It’s a popular vacation spot with a ton of top destinations.

After I picked all the big, go-to tourist destinations, I started looking for smaller tours. Ones that offer to give you a chance to see the beauty of Thailand and Krabi had the best tours for this. I stumbled across these island hopping cruises as I was diving deeper into different places that I might want to check out. I knew I wanted to chill on the beach, but I didn’t think I’d be able to actually hit the open sea. Yep, I’m in.

Best Tours in Krabi

I thought the surreal moment happened for me when I landed in Thailand. It was… but it wasn’t “the moment”. The moment when you’re on a trip and feel like you just pushed pause for a second to truly soak in everything that’s happening around out. My moment happened on this island hopping cruise. I went out for a day on the water on this ship that looked like it was straight out of Pirates of the Caribbean. It was the first cruise I have ever been on that recommended you jump ship and enjoy the water! I was able to snorkel around at each island and float carefree with friends.

I went for the sunset cruise, which means I was able to float on the calm waters as the sky burned bright red, orange and pink and reflected perfectly on the water. If you’re in any way a stop-and-look-at-the-sunset person, you NEED to see this. It’s beyond beautiful and so peaceful.

If Thailand is on your travel bucket list I highly recommend checking out Krabi Sunset Cruises when you finally get there. It was one of the best tours in Krabi, by far. If Thailand isn’t on your travel bucket list… you should just go ahead and add it right now! There will be no regrets about exploring this beautiful area and everything else it has to offer.

Taking a Leap – My Trip in Krabi, Thailand.

When I was planning my trip in Krabi, Thailand I wanted to make sure that I was able to do the “typical” tourist spots as well as some of the off the beaten path adventures. It didn’t take long for Krabi Sunset Cruises to come up once I started looking. The cruise isn’t just about sitting back and relaxing, there are a ton of chances for you to get out and explore the islands and waters of Thailand. I figured I wouldn’t venture off the boat, but either way I wanted to do it.

Cruise Activities

One of the first things mentioned when the cruise started were all of the stops we’d be making. The crew really wanted to make sure everyone knew their options for getting the most out of each stop. Right from the beginning it felt like it would be the best trip in Krabi. You could grab a kayak, snorkel gear, stand up paddles boards… whatever you wanted to use to explore the waters. I was still totally okay with staying put on the boat. But then, someone says that we can JUMP from the upper deck into the water.

The Leap of a Lifetime

Heights are one of my top fears. I get nervous about looking out apartment windows that are on the third floor. Right after “absolutely no way” ran through my head a few people said they were in. It looked unreal! The crew took a video of everyone when they jumped for what would likely be an Instagram highlight of the year for them. Those brave enough to do a backflip got a free cocktail after to celebrate.

All right, that’s pretty cool. Maybe I am down? I mean, I’m on a trip in Krabi Thailand, having the cruise of a lifetime… why not? So I get on the upper deck and completely psych myself out. My legs are already shaking. What was I thinking?! I’ve never jumped off of anything before. That’s when the rest of the people on the cruise helped me out.

After plenty of pep talks from those who jumped before me I made up my mind and jumped before I could change it. BEST. FEELING. EVER. I am so happy I set aside my fears and enjoyed this cruise to the absolute fullest. It was a phenomenal feeling. After the jump I kicked back and enjoyed a celebratory drink while posting the video of me jumping. There’s no way any of my friends would believe I did this without proof!

Are You In?

If you’re looking for a trip in Krabi and want to do something a little different you need to check out Krabi Sunset Cruises. It is by far on of the best adventures I have ever done. I still can’t believe I got to jump off the upper deck of a Chinese Junk ship into the Andaman Sea. The crew makes this experience so much more than a cruise. You have a chance to explore the waters around every island you stop at. It’s a nonstop day of exploring one of the prettiest parts of Thailand. This was an experience of a lifetime and I’m so happy I took the leap!

Hit the Water in Thailand with a Krabi Sailing Tour!

What’s the first thing you picture after reading the words “boat tour”? Maybe a ferry chugging across a small lake? Or a pontoon boat floating down a river? Well, you need to shake things up a bit with a boat tour in Krabi, Thailand. Thailand puts a whole different spin on a boat tour, and that spin actually makes it more of a sailing adventure. There’s an ancient Chinese junk boat, island hopping all day long, and bioluminescent plankton. By now, a Krabi sailing tour has probably made it onto your bucket list, so here’s what you need to know.

What can you expect on a Krabi Sailing Tour?

It’s not “just a boat tour”. But why not? Well, first off, you’re in Thailand. The crystal clear Andaman Sea is yours to explore along with all of the other breathtaking scenery. With all of the amazing sights to take in, you might be worried that the tour will fly by. But you won’t be rushed around to all of the sights in an hour or two. You’re on vacay, so you’ll cruise around the islands for an entire afternoon and evening. Seven sweet hours of nonstop adventure.

What’s Different?

It’s on an Ancient Chinese Junk boat. Don’t worry, it’s not a fancy name for a garbage barge. It’s basically an old sailing boat that looks like it’s straight out of Pirates of the Caribbean. Typically used to transport trades and other goods, the Junk boat at Krabi Sunset Cruises has since retired to sail you and other adventure seekers around Railay.

The Junk is pretty cool, but you don’t have to stay on it for the entire Krabi sailing tour. There are three stops along the way where you have a chance to get in the water. There are full face and regular snorkel gear you can grab, even goggles with prescription lenses, so you can see the beauty above and below the sea. You also have a chance to see the bioluminescent plankton when you stop at Railay West Beach and Ao Nang.

Other activities while on the tour?

If you don’t want to want to swim or snorkel there are tons of other things to do at each stop! How about grabbing a tandem sea kayak to explore the islands with a friend? Or enjoying the views from a stand up paddle board? For those who don’t want to paddle at all, there are inner tubes for you to float on while enjoying the sea and sunshine.

Finally, what kind of “boat tour” ends with the picturesque sunset over the Andaman sea? None, but a Krabi sailing tour does! You’ll probably feel like you’re in a movie as the sun fills the sky with burning shades of red and orange.

It’s safe to say that these reasons make you want to get on a plane right now. You’ll enjoy some of the top sights Krabi, Thailand has to offer on an ancient Chinese Junk boat engrained with hundreds of years of history.
