The Jurassic World: Rebirth film crew spent a significant amount of time across Krabi, Phang Nga, and Trang. The area has become an obvious pitch whenever production teams need limestone cliffs, jungle, and island horizons in one trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, locals have opened Jurassic World memorabilia bars and more TV shows have landed. Every time a survival thriller drops with dramatic island scenery, people want to know one thing, can I go there?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Thailand part is what matters if you\u2019re planning a trip. Most of the \u2018desert island\u2019 atmosphere people are reacting to comes from the Andaman coast in southern Thailand. Limestone cliffs, shallow turquoise water, jungle backdrops. Film crews love it because you can get three completely different moods within an hour by boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several location roundups have named specific places used during filming. The ones that come up most often are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Khao Pilai Beach in Phang Nga (easily accessible from Phuket)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Khao Phing Kan, better known as James Bond Island, in Phang Nga Bay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Khai Islands, including Khai Nai<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Southern islands such as Ko Kradan, Ko Muk and Ko Ngai<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There have also been references to Phi Phi Islands and Maya Bay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve spent time in this region, none of these are surprising. They look wild on screen but, in reality, many of these spots are accessible by longtail boat or day trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s important to understand is that films like this rarely use just one island. Scenes are stitched together from multiple locations. So, when people ask, \u201cwhat island was Send Help filmed on?\u201d, the honest answer is, it\u2019s a combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s also important to note is that there seemed to be A LOT of location CGI in this movie (we headed along to the cinema to see it for ourselves and make note of all the places we recognised.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-james-bond-island-in-send-help\">James Bond Island in Send Help<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>James Bond Island, officially Khao Phing Kan, is one of the places mentioned in filming reports \u2013 there were so many retouches and beach shots that it wasn\u2019t actually one that we saw popping up amongst the gore and survivor-style storyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It sits inside Ao Phang Nga National Park, which is already famous thanks to James Bond and the movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. Film crews return here again and again because the vertical limestone stacks rising out of flat water look unreal, even without CGI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re staying anywhere along the Andaman coast, including Krabi, this area is usually visited by boat tour. It\u2019s not hidden, but it\u2019s definitely cinematic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-can-you-visit-the-island-where-send-help-was-shot\">Can you visit the island where Send Help was shot?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Even just after it\u2019s early 2026 release, this was the question most people were immediately asking us (and typing into Google.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You CAN visit several of the locations (listed above) reported as filming sites. What you CAN\u2019T do is visit \u2018the\u2019 island, because there isn\u2019t one single island that represents the entire film \u2013 as we already alluded to, it doesn\u2019t exist as a solo spot. But here are a couple of locations that are relatively simple to visit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>James Bond Island, which is part of a national park and visited daily by tour boats. It\u2019s worth noting that this area tends to be a lot more crowded than most (especially in high season)<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh (once temporarily shut down due to pollution and coral damage) is open again, but operates under conservation rules, including limits on boat access and periodic seasonal closures. Even if Send Help wasn\u2019t explicitly highlighted as \u2018filmed in Krabi\u2019, the geography overlaps. Krabi sits right in the middle of the same Andaman coastline that productions use for Phang Nga, Phi Phi and Trang islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re staying in the Krabi or Ao Nang area, you don\u2019t need to chase one exact filming pin to experience similar scenery. The classic Krabi 4 Island Tour already moves through the same landscape that films like Send Help rely on. You can see it all as part of a day trip on a <a href=\"https:\/\/krabisunsetcruises.com\/es\/visita\/crucero-matinal\/\">Private Krabi Morning Cruise<\/a>, or a popular <a href=\"https:\/\/krabisunsetcruises.com\/es\/visita\/crucero-al-atardecer\/\">4 Island Sunset Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A typical 4 island tour in Krabi includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Koh Si<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chicken Island<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tup Island<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Isla Poda<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>(we also throw in Koh Ya Wa Sam because it\u2019s excellent for snorkelling!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of these are officially listed as Send Help filming spots. But visually, they share the same karst cliffs and \u2018wanderlust\u2019 waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-which-countries-did-the-production-travel-to-for-send-help\">Which countries did the production travel to for Send Help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside Thailand and the islands and locations listed above (and from what\u2019s been confirmed in press coverage), Send Help was also filmed in Australia and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From a travel perspective, it\u2019s our assumption that Thailand is the part people care about the most. We guess that Australia and Los Angeles likely covered studio work, controlled environments, and sequences that needed infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you\u2019ve watched Send Help and thought, \u201cI want to stand in that kind of landscape,\u201d you don\u2019t need CGI coordinates.
